The Equatair Compact uses a slightly different technique to the Equatair Classic : the ventilator is located in a box in front of the heating element. This means there is no need for the flexible metal tube used in the Classic ; on the other hand, the fire is slightly less visible and the performances are a little lower (because the ventilator is smaller)..

Operating principle :
A built-in thermostat turns on the ventilator as soon as the temperature reaches 50°C in the ventilation box. The air, sucked in through a dust filter, is sent through the cast-iron heating element. Here it is heated up, coming out the other end of the ventilation box at a temperature that can reach 250°C (heating capacity : 170 m3). When the air temperature falls below 35°C, the ventilator stops automatically.

Practical :
A speed control enables you to set the ventilator speed between 800 and 2000 rpm. The ventilation box is reversible, so you can choose whether to place the electric cable to the left or the right of the fire. It is also removable, allowing you to clean the fireplace easily with a self-contained ash cleaner. Reliable :
Situated close to the fire, the ventilator protects itself from overheating by sucking in cool air : for this reason it should always be left plugged in. In the case of a power cut, you can simply push back the firedog and lift up the box to remove it. The electric cable is fireproof.
